Much ado about nothing...

Bof....

---------------------

Well, looking at this picture you would think it would get pretty rough but in the end we slept like babies and while the weather forecast said the wind gusts were very strong, we only woke up at 5:30, when the school called to confirm that the school was closed for the day. Crista and I have to work but at least half the family is thanking Typhoon Fitow for its benevolence. (Fitow means delicate flower in Malaysian apparently, they got the name right anyway...)

Hey guys! Glad to hear the BIG typhoon was a big bust and you made it through unscathed... We're thinking of you a lot lately as I started my two years at Bisson on Tuesday! So far I'm really enjoying Mandarin - although I can't imagine that I'll actually speak it fluently in 2 years. I keep thinking of Crista going on the radio using a foreign language and it sounds terrifying! Have met lots of folks coming to Japan in the next year or two though!

Hey you two!

Nice to hear from you. Crista and I were pretty stoked to hear that your coming to this corner of the planet. We'll still be here during your fist year so we're already planning to come and invade your home for a few days when you get to China.

Congrats on starting Mandarin! It won't be easy but it's absolutely worth it, Crista and I are very happy to have done it, it really changes how you experience a country when you can speak the language. Has Kyle given any thoughts to doing the classes to?
